The IHOBF-San Diego office was established in June 2005 and introduced programming in the winter of 2006.

IHOBF-San Diego's Blues SchoolHouse Band prepares for the introduction of the musical performance component of the Blues SchoolHouse program.
IHOBF introduced programming in January 2006 with the formal introduction of the IHOBF-San Diego Blues SchoolHouse program. Other core programs that have been introduced include Roots of Rhythm, the Blues Ambassador Scholarship and the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. program.
