Each One Teach One is an IHOBF-
Chicago Make An Impression Art
Program in which students, under the
direction of visual artist Anna Millea and in collaboration with
Erie Neighborhood
House, hand-painted electric and acoustic guitars, transforming
them into beautiful, functional pieces of art. The guitars were
donated by Washburn Guitars, national sponsor of the IHOBF Make
An Impression Guitar Program.

In partnership with Aboriginal artist
and musician Peter Wallabulla Amunda Amut
Rotumah, IHOBF-Chicago offered a
program titled "Art From the People: "From an Aboriginal Perspective" to
25 community schools and community
centers across the Chicago area (reaching
over 2200 people). The purpose of the
program was to teach students about
Aboriginal history and culture, focusing on the unique Aboriginal
styles of painting and music.

Nine Chicago Public Schools participated
in the recent IHOBF-Chicago Make An
Impression InSTRUMents Guitar Recital
at the House of Blues-Chicago. Over the
course of two days, 150 students showcased the guitar skills
that they
learned in the program on the House of
Blues stage. |
