The IHOBF-Atlantic City office was established in October 2005 and introduced programming in April 2006.

Teachers took part in a Teacher Workshop entitled Learning About American Culture Through Blues Music and Folk Art. During the workshop, teachers whose classrooms will be attending the Blues SchoolHouse Program were introduced to both the art tour and musical presentation components of the program. In addition, the workshop provided teachers an opportunity to explore the corresponding Blues SchoolHouse Classroom Guide.

The Blues SchoolHouse (BSH) Band performs during the musical component of the BSH Program. The BSH Band, made up of Atlantic City-area professional musicians and students from a performing arts high school, presents a social and cultural history of the blues.

IHOBF-Atlantic City will introduce other core programs and additional programs during the 2006/2007 school year.
